How many of you remember starting to wash your family’s car only to end up in a big, wet water fight?! Car washes are a great combination of work and play. A good car wash helps maintain your car, while keeping cool under the sun. They also can be an effective fundraiser for students, or an easy chore to assign to a family member.
Decoration Surprise
Summer brings with it many special occasions: weddings, showers, graduations, and more. Surprise a friend or family member celebrating something special by decorating their car. Make sure to use items that won’t damage the vehicle, like window clings, window markers, balloons and ribbons.
Drive-in Movie Theater
We are lucky to have one of the last remaining drive-in movie theaters in the country! Make a full night of it. Pack the car with sleeping bags, chairs, games and a football to throw around. Get there early for a good spot and enjoy watching the sun set into the mountains. Then, relish in the nostalgia of watching a movie under the stars.
Park and Picnic
Pull up under a tree, near a lake, at a playground or local park. This can work as a fun, impromptu date or playdate with the kids. Put the seats down in an SUV or minivan to enjoy picnicking right in the back. Prepare items that aren’t too messy and are in easy to carry containers.
