How do I get to Houska?

What is Tire & Oil?

Light services, oil changes, battery replacements, light bulbs, fluid services, tires and more!

What does my check engine light mean?

It typically means that the internal computer sees a fault in the vehicle. If the light remains on, it is an indicator to get the vehicle inspected. If the light begins to flash, whatever is failing could potentially damage the catalytic converter and should be checked immediately. If the light is flashing, stop driving and have your vehicle towed to Houska.

Why is John Houska called LJ?

John Houska started working at the shop when he was in high school. At the time, there were three other Johns at Houska. To avoid confusion, we started calling him Little John, which was shortened to LJ. The nickname stuck, to say the least.

What tire lines do you carry?

Goodyear, Dunlop, Kelly, Michelin, BFGoodrich, Uniroyal, General, Continental, Firestone and Bridgestone.

Can I get a ride back to where I need to be after dropping off my car at Houska?

Absolutely! Our courtesy shuttle service is here for you! Our drivers are available weekdays during open hours and will help get you to where you need to go while your vehicle is being serviced. The shuttle does not run on Saturdays.

What type of vehicles do you service at Heavy Duty?

Box trucks, dump trucks, over-the-road semis, busses, motorhomes, trailers and just about everything in between.

How long has Houska been around?

Houska Automotive has been family-owned and operated since 1952.

Is Houska a franchise?

Nope! We are locally owned and proud of it.

How do I pick up my car after hours?

Give our front office staff a call with a credit card number handy and you’ll be all set for us to lock your vehicle in our parking lot! Our lock boxes next to our front door will keep your keys secure until you get there. The advisor will give you a code and directions to the box location after payment has been secured.
