It’s time to party!
2022 has been an incredible year for us – we’ve been celebrating our 70th anniversary all year long, and it’s been an absolute blast to reminisce about Houska Automotive’s early days and see how far we’ve come.
While we’ve turned nearly every day this year into a 70th anniversary celebration, there is one particular day that we’ve been looking forward to since the beginning of 2022 – September 17th, when we’ll be hosting the biggest celebration in Houska History!
Just a few weeks from now, we will be commemorating seven decades in business by throwing a huge party – and the whole community is invited! We hope you’ll join us for an evening of celebration, featuring live music from our special guests The Burroughs.
This picnic-style concert includes free hotdogs and treats for anyone attending – but you’re welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks as well! Bring your own blankets and lawn chairs, as well (although we have a feeling you won’t be sitting down much – the music is sure to make you want to get up and dance!). The event will be from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 17th at Houska Automotive’s Heavy Duty store (1005 Riverside, Fort Collins, CO 80524). The evening will be fun for all ages, so make sure the whole family tags along!
It’s no secret that the Houska Automotive team is passionate about giving back to the community in any way we can. This event is completely FREE and open to the public, but we do ask that all attendees bring a donation to the UCHealth Family Medicine Center food pantry. We can’t think of any better way to celebrate our 70th year than partnering with this incredible organization which does so much good in Northern Colorado.
Donations
All items (including monetary donations) are accepted, but below you can find a list of the top ten food items that the FMC food pantry would like donated:
- Peanut butter
- Beans & lentils
- Canned tuna & chicken
- Rice
- Pasta
- Baby food
- Canned fruit
- Cereal/Oatmeal
- Gluten free non-perishable items
- Vegan & vegetarian non-perishable items
We absolutely love the UCHealth Family Medicine Center food pantry and all that they stand for – in 2021, the FMC food pantry distributed over 200,000 pounds of food to those in need in our community. What’s even better is that over 70,000 pounds of this was fresh produce! The FMC food pantry prioritizes providing fresh, protein-rich, high quality food to the people it serves. The work they do is incredibly important to countless members of our community, and we strongly believe in their efforts.
We hope that our 70th anniversary celebration will be more than just a fun evening – we know that together, we can make a difference in our community through supporting this incredible organization.
