Keep a safe distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you
If you hope to avoid accidents, be sure to always maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you. Doing so ensures that you will have enough time to react to sudden stops or hazards in the road.
Always wear your seatbelt
Not only is it illegal to remain unbuckled, but it’s incredibly dangerous! Wearing a seatbelt is perhaps the easiest way to protect yourself in the case of an accident. Be sure that all passengers are wearing seatbelts when your vehicle is in motion, as well.
Know how to handle emergencies
Emergencies can happen to anyone, and being prepared in the case of an emergency will help to ensure your safety. Be sure to keep a first aid kit, water bottles, jumper cables, and a spare tire in your vehicle at all times.
