There’s something strange and unusual happening in Fort Collins this Halloween, and it’s not a mean green mother from outer space. It’s an opportunity for our amazing community to come together and do something heroic. This year, we’re asking you to help us “Feed The Need” in a way that truly matters.
Join us for the Annual Halloween Houska Automotive & UCHealth Garth Englund Blood Drive. It’s your chance to be a hero like Seymour, step up for your community, and make a life-saving impact. Your donation ensures our local hospitals are ready for anything, and it’s a powerful way to support your neighbors. Your one donation can save up to three lives! 🩸

How to Prepare
We want your experience to be as smooth and comfortable as possible. Following a few simple steps before you arrive can make a big difference.
- Schedule an Appointment: Appointments are strongly encouraged to help us manage flow and reduce wait times. You can call 970-495-8965 to schedule your spot. We will also provide a link to register online soon.
- Eat a Good Meal: Please eat a healthy, substantial meal before your appointment.
- Hydrate Well: Drink plenty of water in the 24 hours leading up to your appointment. Staying hydrated can prevent you from feeling lightheaded after your donation!
- Bring a Valid ID: You will need a photo ID, such as a driver’s license, to check in for your appointment.
- Plan Your Fit: Costumes are welcome and encouraged, as long as they can reach your arms!
When you arrive, the friendly staff from the UCHealth Garth Englund Blood Center will guide you through a simple screening process. This includes a confidential health history questionnaire and a mini-physical to check your temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and hemoglobin levels. The actual donation only takes about 10–15 minutes. Afterward, you can relax and enjoy a breakfast burrito, knowing you’ve made a huge difference.
